Description As a Medical Administrative Assistant assisting the Dental Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the administrative efficiency of the dental office. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who understands medical administrative processes and has a passion for supporting dental care teams. The role entails overseeing scheduling, managing records, coordinating communications, and helping streamline administrative operations to enhance clinical workflow.Responsibilities
Manage and optimize the Dental Director’s daily schedule, including patient appointments and meetings with staff and stakeholders.
Coordinate travel arrangements and external meeting logistics when required.
Maintain and oversee secure dental records with proficiency in electronic medical and dental record systems, such as Cerner or Epic.
Respond to patient inquiries regarding appointments and billing issues.
Assist with insurance verification and claims submission.
Act as the primary liaison between the Dental Director, office staff, and patients.
Draft emails, memos, and reports on behalf of the Dental Director.
Handle incoming calls and route them to appropriate personnel.
Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and standards in the dental office.
Help organize staff development trainings and certifications like RHIA or RHIT.
