As a Billing Clerk, your daily duties will consist of reviewing bills and compiling data into spreadsheets and accounting software. This Billing Clerk opportunity is long-term contract / temporary to hire, and based in the South Gate, California area.The Billing Clerk is responsible for entering orders in the home base dispatch system. The positionadvises supervisors on any service order discrepancies such as the service order being under the wrongaccount and/or contract pricing. The Billing Clerk reports directly to the Billing Supervisor and completesessential duties in the Billing Department.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Enters order quantities of product by logging into local and northern dispatch systems along side
entry into DocuFree, the new paperless system.
Prepares invoices and billing for products and services in an accurate and timely manner.
Responds to customer inquiries related to billing and payment to ensure accurate payments.
Follows up with customers to collect outstanding balances, resolve disputes, and correct
discrepancies.
Ensures all entered pricing are correct when compared against pricing list or contract and
communicates with sales representatives for confirmation as appropriate.
Ensures taking the final billing step to “clear” the queue in the Docufree paperless system.
Identifies in the dispatch system when there are service order issues and escalate the service
order issue to the supervisor when appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
2+ years of experience in accurate 10 key by touch proficiency.
