Description We are on the lookout for a highly analytical and experienced Controller to join our team in Solana Beach, California. This role involves managing all accounting operations, preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements, and coordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting. The Controller will also be tasked with ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting, as well as managing and supervising the accounting team.Responsibilities: Oversee all accounting operations, including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and other required reports. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting and ensure compliance with GAAP. Research technical accounting issues for compliance. Support month-end and year-end close processes. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Assist in the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances. Manage and supervise the accounting team, providing guidance and training as necessary. Work closely with senior management to provide insightful analysis and recommendations for financial decision-making. Utilize skills in Accounting Functions, Budget Processes, QuickBooks, Real Estate Project Accounting, Commercial Real Estate. Requirements Familiarity with Budget Processes, with the ability to conduct budgeting activities Proficiency in using QuickBooks for various accounting tasks Experience in Real Estate Project Accounting Extensive knowledge of Commercial Real Estate sector Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Proven track record of maintaining confidentiality Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred Experience in a similar role as a Controller would be advantageousRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
