Job Summary
This position is a critical component of materials control as it relates to meeting company standards of quality and on time delivery. This function is primarily responsible for coordinating accurate, timely shipments and receipts of materials to and from Trust Automation, while maintaining clear communication and high level of customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
Recording and Processing Inbound/Outbound Shipments: (Shipping & Receiving)
Process receipt of purchase orders (PO) and packing slips (PS) using the computerized ERP system
Ensures specifications, quantity, and quality of orders match PO or PS requirements
Conducts initial product quality inspection; routes material to inspection area as required
Determines best shipping method based on customer needs to include speed, carrier, and any HAZMAT, FRAGILE, or insurance requirements
Prepares items for shipment according to packaging instructions, industry best practices, or carrier requirements
Arranges carrier pick-up and drop-off
Coordinate inbound/outbound shipping for both domestic/international with a variety of transportation companies and carriers, when required.
Use shipping portal software to track, check, prioritize and route orders.
Manage all documents such as packing slips, bills of lading (BOL), certificates of conformance, return label creation and compliance documentation.
Recommended to obtain and maintain DOT HazMat, IATA and Lithium-Ion Battery certifications
Maintaining Inventory (Finished Goods/Supplies)
Pack/unpack and route materials to appropriate departments, stock locations or shipping
Pull parts from stock and verify accuracy to fulfill packing slip requirements
Assist with periodic and annual cycle counts
Maintain accurate stock levels at all times; notify management if adjustments are required
Customer Service
Proactively monitor inbound report for incoming materials
Work to provide answers regarding the movement or content of orders, including troubleshooting to resolve discrepancies; coordinates closely with buyers, management, and sales to ensure satisfaction
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adapting to frequent changes
Position Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Associates degree or higher or 5 years of relevant work experience, preferred
Strong organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
Experience with computer software, data entry
Forklift experience- certification can be obtained upon hiring

Physical Requirements
Hearing and speaking to exchange information in person, on the telephone or virtually.
Dexterity of hands, fingers, and wrist to operate a computer keyboard, calculator, or assemble/manufacture intricate items.
Seeing to read a variety of materials.
Sitting or standing for extended period of time.
Physical agility to lift 50 pounds to shoulder height. Any items that weigh more than 50 pounds will require to or more people or a lifting device to move.
Physical agility to lift, carry, push, or pull objects.
Pay Scale / Salary Information
$24.06 - $28.50 per hour
