We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Underground Construction Laborer in Monterey County. The position involves a variety of duties in support of underground utility installations. This is a hands-on role, requiring physical labor across multiple job sites, and it is critical for the establishment, construction, and maintenance of underground utility projects.
Responsibilities:
Use hand tools and power equipment to perform tasks such as site prep, digging trenches, setting up, and clearing
debris.
Assist in the installation of wet utility systems.
Work with heavy machinery operators.
Manage traffic control around work zones to ensure the safety.
Perform various physically demanding tasks related to underground utility construction.
Maintain strict adherence to safety while working on the projects.
Take on additional duties as required for project completion.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in underground utility work is a strong plus.
Ability to handle physical labor in diverse weather conditions.
Familiarity with construction tools and equipment.
A strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
Willingness to travel to different job sites as needed including overnight travel when needed.
Strong plus for Heavy Equipment operating experience.
