Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. This dual role involves preparing accurate cost estimates for mechanical projects and managing projects from pre-construction through completion. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, piping, etc.)

Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to assess project scope

Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes

Prepare and present bid proposals to management and clients

Manage awarded projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation

Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project execution aligns with plans

Monitor project progress, control costs, and ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards

Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders

Foster client relationships and ensure customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)

3+ years of experience in mechanical estimating and/or project management in construction or contracting

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and construction methods

Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite

Bluebeam and AutoCAD experience a plus

Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
