Position Summary:
Performs routine and emergency repairs to insure proper and safe operation of CAPSLO facilities. Performs building, plumbing, and equipment maintenance; janitorial services; and groundskeeping. Actual assigned duties may vary by location and particular work site needs. Priorities for special projects will be set with the assistance of the Facilities Supervisor and Program Director(s). Supports CAPSLO’s mission by performing a variety of facilities related tasks as needed to ensure safe operations and remain in compliance with regulations, as well as providing a comfortable environment for staff, children and clients.
Required Education and Experience:
Maintenance Technician I
One year recent experience in performing minor carpentry, plumbing, electrical repairs, building maintenance, janitorial, landscape maintenance or any combination of education, training or experience which will provide the required knowledge skills and abilities.
Knowledge of operation of light equipment, hand tools and tools commonly used in maintenance and repair.
Maintenance Technician II
Minimum of two years general experience performing carpentry, plumbing, electrical repairs, building maintenance, janitorial, landscape maintenance or any combination of education, training or experience, which will provide the required knowledge skills and abilities.
Must be experienced in the operation of light equipment, hand tools and tools commonly used in maintenance and repair.
Maintenance Technician III
Minimum of three years general experience performing carpentry, plumbing, electrical repairs, building maintenance, janitorial, landscape maintenance or any combination of education, training or experience, which will provide the required knowledge skills and abilities.
Must be experienced in the operation of light equipment, hand tools and tools commonly used in maintenance and repair.
License & Certifications:
Must have dependable, insured transportation and valid California Driver’s License (mileage to be reimbursed) and acceptable driving record. A DMV printout and proof of insurance will be required.
