We are based in Atascadero, California and work primarily in the San Luis Obispo County with occasional short-term projects statewide.
Job Responsibilities:
The journeyman/foreman owns the quality outcome at the jobsite through conducting a smooth workflow at a speed that quality and safety allow.
Duties include:
Understand the full scope of work, design layouts, engineering details and blue-prints, and strictly follow the design plan.
Alert project manager in a timely manner to project issues or client changes that affect scope of work.
Communicate effectively with homeowners about the project to enhance client satisfaction.
Direct and conduct all work with the PEI team.
Teach and train other PEI team members in the best practices of electrical work, safety and tool use, and continually inspect work for quality completion and code compliance.
Verify material quantities and place material orders with office as needed.
Handle tools safely and appropriately wherever they are required.
Work per the project manager’s direction to meet stipulated deadlines and quality levels of the work.
Supervise a clean and systematically arranged work area.
Ensure the safe storage and protection of all materials on the jobsite or at the shop.
Maintain daily progress reports, time sheets and other necessary information. (this is a mandatory daily task).
Oversee punch list and cleanup at the end of a project, including return of excess materials.
Contribute to the team’s development of Standard Operating Procedures and Checklists to increase efficiency and profitability.

Be knowledgeable in 1ph/3ph, 120v-medium voltage, xfrms, conduit bending, troubleshooting, exc.
Ideal candidates will:
Be an exceptional team leader and teacher to raise the level of our electrical crew in the field.
Focus on safety.
Knowledgeable of State, Local and National building codes and how to reference them.
Center on a high quality, detailed beginning, middle and end-results.
Exhibit a strong work ethic and enable the team to move the project forward expediently.
Have knowledge in the safe and accurate operation of key power tools such as circular saws, reciprocating saws, whole hawgs, electronic benders, wire pulling machines, scissor lifts, hot boxes, excavators, (among others).
Be comfortable working at heights—on ladders and lifts—while following proper OSHA safety regulations.
Be effective working in all weather conditions.
Exhibit a positive, problem-solving attitude at all times.
Be professionally presentable while wearing clean and well-kept company uniform.
Treat a client’s home or business as if it were your grandmother’s house, refraining from smoking/vaping and swearing in and around a client’s project.
Prerequisites:
4-5+ years of electrical experience
1-2 years of team leadership experience preferred.
Able to fully perform the physical duties of an electrician such as climbing, pounding, lifting, kneeling and bending.
Have a California State Journeyman Certificate.
Poses mastery of the math skills required to do the work.
Legal to work in the United States.
Maintain a valid REAL ID CA driver’s license and clean record.
Understand key safety equipment and utilize such equipment at all times required: examples include eye, ear and respiratory protection, fall protection, gloves, etc.
Able to pass drug screenings at random.
Must possess all basic hand tools.
Compensation:
Competitive Hourly wage depending on experience.

Fully tooled work truck for qualified Journeyman.
