Position Summary:

The Store Manager at Unique Boba Flavors LLC is the heart of the café, ensuring daily operations run smoothly and efficiently while providing exceptional leadership to our team. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of store operations, including staffing, inventory, financials, and customer service, with a focus on fostering a positive team culture and ensuring an outstanding guest experience.

As the Store Manager, you will also take on a hands-on approach, stepping behind the bar to make drinks or assist with customer orders during peak times. You will be responsible for maintaining brand standards and overseeing the café’s long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Development:

Oversee hiring, training, and development of café staff, including baristas, shift leads, and supervisors.

Provide leadership and motivation to team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Ensure employees follow company policies, health and safety regulations, and service standards.

Conduct performance reviews, identify growth opportunities, and address any performance issues.

Operations Management:

Manage daily store operations, including opening, closing, cash handling, and shift supervision.

Ensure the café is properly stocked, well-maintained, and clean at all times.

Implement and enforce store policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and profitability.

Monitor and control store budget, labor costs, and product inventory to maintain cost-effective operations.

Customer Experience & Conflict Resolution:

Maintain high standards of guest service, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and professional assistance.

Address customer complaints and concerns with empathy and professionalism, ensuring positive resolutions.

Ensure the café’s atmosphere aligns with the brand’s vision of community, creativity, and exceptional service.

Sales & Marketing:

Work with the team to promote seasonal products and in-store promotions.

Develop strategies to increase sales, customer retention, and positive brand reputation in the community.

Analyze sales data and customer feedback to optimize product offerings and sales strategies.

Inventory & Financial Management:

Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies, restocking, and managing vendor relationships.

Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of food and drink items in compliance with health and safety standards.

Manage store budget, track sales, and ensure the café operates within financial goals.

Hands-On Operations:

Step in to make drinks or take orders as needed, particularly during rush periods.

Lead by example during busy shifts, ensuring staff maintain speed and quality in their work.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or a related field is a plus.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a café, food service, or fast-casual environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role.

ServSafe Manager Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).

Proven leadership experience and ability to inspire and manage a team.

Strong understanding of inventory management, budgeting, and profit-and-loss statements.

Comfortable stepping in to make drinks or take orders when necessary, ensuring operational continuity during peak hours.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.

Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

Food Handler Card (or willingness to obtain within 30 days).

Previous experience with POS systems such as Square, Clover, or Toast.

Knowledge of boba tea and drink preparation.

Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.

Working Conditions:

Fast-paced café environment with exposure to:

o Hot and cold beverage equipment

o Cleaning chemicals, refrigerants, and other café supplies

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs.

Must be flexible to work during peak business hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
