United Staffing Associate is partnered with a winery that is seeking Wine Harvest interns for the 2025 season. You should have a passion for wine, a willingness to learn, and the ability to follow detailed procedures. This is a great opportunity to learn about the wine industry and work hands-on with the winemakers. Prior wine experience or education in a related field is preferred. Interviews are starting now. The internship is anticipated to begin in mid-August and continue through November.
Duties:
Sanitizing winery facilities and equipment
Managing crushing, sorting, and pressing processes
Overseeing cap management tasks, such as pumpovers, punchdowns, and delestages
Performing additions and inoculations during fermentation
Draining and pressing after fermentation
Cleaning, filling, and topping barrels
Preparing and maintaining winery equipment
Conducting racking and transfers of wine
Collecting tank and barrel samples for analysis
Job Requirements:
Ability to work extended hours, including weekends, averaging 40-60 hours per week (8-10 hours per day)
Strong verbal and written communication skills for interactions with management at all levels
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
Comfort with frequent physical labor, including bending and navigating stairs while carrying loads
Ability to work in both hot and cold environments (indoors and outdoors)
Willingness to work in confined spaces, adhering to all relevant safety and regulatory guidelines
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Schedule: The anticipated work schedule is Monday-Friday, 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with overtime required, including weekends
Pay: $19.00-$22.00/HR
