The Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the overall upkeep, safety, and functionality of an apartment complex. This role involves performing routine maintenance, responding to repair requests, and assisting with general property improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on buildings, systems, and grounds.
Perform repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances as needed.
Address work orders from tenants and management in a timely manner.
Maintain landscaping, common areas, and exterior facilities.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Assist in unit turnovers, including painting, cleaning, and basic repairs.
Keep maintenance records and report any major issues to management.
Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required.
Qualifications:
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry.
Ability to use tools and maintenance equipment safely.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
Previous experience in property maintenance or a related field is a plus.
