We are a dental office in search of a registered dental assistant to join our growing dental team located in Arroyo Grande! Our team is passionate about providing the best care possible for our community. We are looking for a team member who is open-minded, self-motivated, and a detail-oriented team player who gets the job done. If you have a positive and outgoing attitude, a great work ethic, and a strong desire to help others, we would love to meet you!

This position is best suited for a recent dental assisting program graduate who would benefit from mentorship and is looking to grow with a practice. As a general office, our doctors do a little bit of everything so, a recent graduate would be able to put all their skills to use right from the start, especially if they intend on testing to become an RDA.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-Welcoming patients in the dental office

-Preparing patients for exams and treatments ensuring their comfort

-Educating patients on oral health conditions diagnosed by the doctors, treatment needs, and on post-operative care

-Select and set up appropriate instruments, equipment, and materials efficiently for exams and treatments

-Sterilize instruments according to OSHA regulations

-Assisting and notating for the dentist during a procedure and/or exam

-Maintaining stock and organization of the dental operatories and sterilization area

-Assist hygienist with room breakdown, instrument and materials set-up

-Managing stock and inventory for dental supplies and materials

-Submit and follow-up on dental lab cases

-Assist with front office duties as needed (confirming patient reservations, sending treatment plans and consents, shredding paperwork, etc)

Skills & Requirements:

-X-ray certificate

-Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks

-Proficient computer skills REQUIRED

-Excellent communication and people skills

-Attention to detail

-Well-organized and reliable

-Graduated from an approved dental assisting program or about to graduate from one is preferred -Familiarity with Open Dental is preferred

-Reliable mode of transportation REQUIRED

Job Type: Part time job (with potential to develop into a full-time position as we are looking to increase our clinical days to Tues-Fri by 2025)

Pay: Starts at $22.00 per hour based on experience

MUST have a reliable form of transportation.

MUST be able to commit to our 3-day clinical schedule of Tues-Thurs from 7:50AM to 4:50PM.

Job Type: Part-time with the potential for Full-time (

Pay: From $22.00 per hour BASED ON EXPERIENCE

Expected hours: 24 (PT) – 32 (FT) per week
