Amanda Groo, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, PC, is looking for a fully licensed therapist to join her as she builds her practice! Amanda is hoping to find a therapist who is interested in a private practice setting, but isn’t ready to make the full leap yet, or loves the idea of private practice with another clinician to consult with, learn with, and grow with! The office is located downtown San Luis Obispo, with everything you need to get started; a couch, a desk, refreshments, and a chair. You choose the days and times you work, either in person or online. All you will need is yourself and your experience! While you would be my first hire, my goal is to grow this practice into a group practice with other great clinicians like yourself, to be able to give back to our community in a meaningful way. With this expected growth, more perks will become available.
Responsibilities:
Conduct Individual, couples, and/or family sessions based on your preference as a therapist
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client’s progress, treatment plans and session notes in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
Adhere to ethical and legal guidelines, including maintaining client confidentiality and upholding professional boundaries
Engage in professional development activities to continue clinical skills and stay relevant in your practice
Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher in counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology or related field
Current registration number from the California Board of Behavioral Sciences; LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients
LGBTQIA+ affirming
Additional trainings preferred; ie. EMDR, Internal Family System, Gottman, Dr. Brené Brown, or other specific trainings

Job Types: Full-time and part-time
Pay: 65-35% split of your session price ie. $150/per session, you get 70% and the company gets 30%.
