Dental Assistant RDA

We are a small private practice in north county looking for an individual with a positive outlook that works well with others. 8:30-5:30 Tuesday-Friday. Duties include fabricating temporary crowns and bridges, adjusting dental prostheses, and performing coronal polishing. Paid time off and 401k available. Be rewarded and appreciated for all you do. Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a sterile and organized environment.

Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments.

Prepare and maintain medical documentation accurately for each patient visit.

Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.

Utilize Dentrix software for patient management, scheduling, and record keeping.

Operate 3D scanners for imaging and assist in creating dental models.

Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.

Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure proper sterilization of instruments.

Support front office tasks as needed, including appointment scheduling and patient check-in.

Qualifications

Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; we are willing to train the right candidate.

Knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures is essential.

Familiarity with medical coding and documentation practices is a plus.

Proficiency in using medical imaging equipment, including X-Ray machines.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.

Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
