UCP of San Luis Obispo County is seeking a Summer Camp Nurse for our upcoming 2025 Camp Kelley Creek that will take place from Sunday, August 17, 2025 to Friday, August 22, 2025. We are actively searching RN, LVN Registered Nurse, or a Psych Tech who can monitor health issues for 60 adult campers with developmental disabilities and supervise the distribution of their medications. The individual will be part of the Camp Kelley Administrative Team. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. The camp will be held at Camp Arroyo Grande in Arroyo Grande, California. The Nurse will reside at the camp location for the duration of camp.
The job duties of this position include:
Monitor health of individuals and provide basic medical attention
Organize and distribute medications prescribed for the campers
Make medical decisions about send a camper to a hospital or to return home
Provide support for the counselors who are working with the campers
Qualifications
RN, LVN, or Psych Tech who is licensed to distribute prescribed medication
Experience with adults with developmental disabilities is helpful
