Behavioral Aide/Caregiver/Educator needed in Pismo Beach for low-functioning special needs 24 year old boy.
Duties include:
Working on goals
Behavior therapy (teach appropriate replacement behaviors)
Therapy exercises
Teaching words and skills
Interacting and playing with him
Personal care (dressing, toileting, bathing)
Meal preparation/feeding
Housecleaning/laundry/cooking
Driving to activities
Experience:
Previous behavioral experience
Previous caregiving experience
Previous experience with developmental disabilities
Knowledge of first aid and basic medical procedures
Must be able to pass Live Scan
Skills:
Enjoys teaching
Wanting to learn ABA Therapy
Reliable
Hard working
Must be able to work without supervision
Self-starter
Good housecleaning and organizational skills
Excellent communication and compassionate demeanor
Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism and empathy
Hours are Monday through Friday 2:00-9:00 p.m. If you cannot do those hours, please do not apply. Need someone long-term and who can also do occasional overnights.
