Searching for an aide for our young adult son with level three autism. He is sweet, very active and verbal. The position is in a private home and includes teaching self help skills(learning to shave, brush hair, etc) as well as encouraging more language acquisition. Reading books with a focus on teaching reading comprehension, physical therapy exercise guidance, supervision of chores he is learning to do independently. Experience with teaching individuals with autism is required. Speech and language background very useful. He is an outstanding pianist who is interested in learning to sing, so any type of music background is a plus, but not required. Experience teaching swimming or lifeguarding another plus. He also enjoys yoga, swimming, fast walking, adult tricycle and basketball. House is fenced and gated so there's plenty of time spent outside in the country. We also have friendly dogs, would be great if you are comfortable with them. Our son requires consistency and someone who is reliable.
