SUMMARY
Spa Supervisor will oversee all aspects of the Spa operation to insure efficiency, guest satisfaction, and profitability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Organizes, directs, and monitors daily activities of the front desk and massage therapists.
Organizes, directs, and maintains inventory of F&B, consumables, and general merchandise.
Monitors daily sales, costs, and staffing.
Ensures efficient, friendly, and professional guest registration, check-out, and telephone service; observes front desk to ensure that established procedures are followed.
Solves guest issues and complaints with confidence and follows through with resolutions.
Establishes procedures, prepares and coordinates schedules, and expedites workflow.
Assists with hiring, training, motivating, the front desk staff and massage therapists.
Problem solve as needed. Answer guest and associate questions regarding reservations, authorization questions, and credit card issues.
Ensures regular communication to all staff.
Communicates with other departments, such as accounting, maintenance, and ownership.
Ensures that maintenance/housekeeping challenges are resolved.
Maintain the safety of all our staff and guests at the Hot Springs Spa and provide a safe working environment
Enforces proper dress code and grooming standards of the staff
Ensures all necessary reports and forms are completed daily.
Monitors and maintains front desk area.
Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of Hot Springs Spa operations, services, facilities, policies, rates and area's attractions.
Employees may occasionally be asked to perform work on special assignments in addition to normal job duties.
Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
Attend monthly meetings and participate on committees for Chamber(s), Main Street Association, mixers and others
Monitoring and adhering to safety protocols
Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise approximately 15 employees within the housekeeping, front desk and maintenance departments. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these departments. Directly supervise non-supervisory employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Work with massage therapists and estheticians, oversee scheduling of therapists and estheticians to meet needs of spa services.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, professional publications and presentations. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers of organizations.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or scheduled forms.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and cloud-based point-of-sale systems
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to travel as required for sales and other corporate-sponsored management events, conventions, seminars and training sessions.

PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL
Performance appraisals are an important tool for the professional growth of employees. It is an ongoing process with a formal appraisal occurring once per year, in accordance with Company policy. Formal performance appraisals for the Supervisor will be conducted by the Manager/Ownership.
