Vista Steak and Seafood is looking for a friendly and energetic individual to join our team!
Job duties include:
Supervise and manage the front of house staff (servers, bartenders, hosts, and bussers) to ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction by performing the following duties:
-Greet and welcome guests as they arrive
-Manage reservations and seating arrangements, ensure guests are seated in a timely manner
-Be able to help and perform any and all FOH staff member’s (bartenders, servers, host, and bussers) duties when needed including expoing in the kitchen
-Handle customer complaints, intoxicated guests, and resolve issues in a professional manner; call emergency services when needed
-Perform various supervisory duties including opening/closing the restaurant, handling large party and banquet inquiries, fixing credit card and guest check issues, and various cash transactions; guest checks, tips, paid outs, counting drawer, etc…
-Take weekly liquor inventory and place orders as needed
-Manage the training of all FOH employees on procedures and company policies
-Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and timely delivery of food
-Assist the GM with hiring, staffing, interviews, orientations, disciplinary actions and office work as needed
-Oversee daily operations and ensure smooth functioning of the restaurant
Job Requirements:
-Friendly demeanor, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail
-Basic knowledge of Excel and Word preferred
-Previous experience in a similar role, preferably a manager or supervisor in a restaurant setting
-Strong leadership and team management skills
-Knowledge of Micros POS system or similar point-of-sale software
-Current California Food Handlers Card and ABC Alcohol Server Certification
-Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays
