Project Architect – Leadership Opportunity

Gabriel Architects | Paso Robles, CA

Gabriel Architects (GA), a respected architectural design firm established in 1994, has built a strong reputation across California’s Central Coast for our thoughtful, full-service approach to architecture. Our diverse portfolio includes residential, multi-family, commercial, public, medical, and winery projects.

We are a close-knit, five-person team based in Paso Robles, and we’re growing. We’re looking for a talented and driven Project Architect who’s ready to take the next step in their career—and help shape the future of our firm.

This is more than a job—it’s a leadership opportunity. We’re seeking someone with creativity, initiative, and passion for design, who thrives in a collaborative environment and is excited by the prospect of growing into an upper-level management role, working side-by-side with the principal architect.

What You’ll Do

● Lead and manage projects from concept to completion

● Supervise and support project staff

● Coordinate schedules, production timelines, and design deliverables

● Collaborate on design development, presentations, and marketing efforts

● Prepare and oversee construction documents, building code analysis, and consultant coordination

● Ensure quality control, permit readiness, and construction documentation accuracy

● Juggle multiple responsibilities while staying organized and focused

What We’re Looking For

● Minimum 5 years of professional architectural experience

● Architectural license in California

● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture

● Strong experience with commercial construction documentation and detailing

● Expert knowledge of California Building Codes

● Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities

● Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D modeling software

● Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills

● Local residency in North San Luis Obispo County is a plus

What We Offer

● Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications

● Medical insurance compensation

● 401(k) plan

● Paid vacation and sick leave

● A growth-oriented culture that values your ideas and leadership

● Opportunity to work on exciting, diverse projects in a beautiful region
