Job Description:
As the Motel Manager & Handyman, you will be integral to our success, overseeing the day-to-day operations of our 20-bedroom motel and lending your technical skills to enhance our services. Your responsibilities will encompass:
Motel Management:
Supervising motel to deliver exceptional guest experiences, reflecting the warmth and hospitality of the Carrizo Plains.
Handling reservations, check-ins, and check-outs efficiently, ensuring guest satisfaction at every touchpoint.
Upholding high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene throughout the property.
Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate records.
Handyman Duties:
Conducting routine maintenance tasks to upkeep the motel's facilities, including plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs.
Identifying and resolving maintenance issues promptly to minimize guest inconvenience.
Coordinating with external contractors for specialized repairs or renovations as needed.
Implementing preventive maintenance measures to prolong the lifespan of equipment and infrastructure.
Ensuring the safety and security of guests and staff by monitoring the property for hazards and taking appropriate measures.
Tech Expertise:
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to electronic systems, including but not limited to Wi-Fi networks, entertainment systems, and security cameras.
Installing and maintaining electronic equipment and devices throughout the motel, ensuring optimal performance.
Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
Previous experience in motel or customer service, coupled with a some knowledge in handyman work.
Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electronic systems and equipment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Familiarity with the Carrizo Plains area and its attractions is a plus.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
