Job Summary:

Join our dynamic team as a Finance Manager and play a pivotal role in optimizing the company’s financial direction. As a key collaborator with ownership, you'll oversee day-to-day bookkeeping and contribute to strategic financial planning.

If you have a strong foundation in accounting and enjoy being closely involved in both the details and big-picture aspects of a company’s financial health, this could be the perfect opportunity. You’ll manage accounts payable and receivable, process payroll, and support financial analysis and forecasting—all while working closely with ownership to shape the company’s financial direction.

Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping:

Record keeping

General ledger management

AR + AP

Inventory

Bank reconciliations

Payroll

Expense tracking

Compliance and audits

Strategic:

Financial forecasting

Budgeting

Financial reporting

Cash flow analysis

Financial strategy collaboration

Inventory planning

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

2-3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience

Experience with inventory

Proficiency with accounting software

Familiarity with creating financial reports

Thorough understanding of GAAP

Critical thinking and problem solving

Risk management

Strong verbal and written communication

Attention to detail and thorough documentation

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Hours & Compensation:

This is a part-time (20 hours/week) position with a planned transition to full-time for the right individual. Candidates that can work in-person at our new Atascadero, CA office are preferred, but remote workers will be considered. Hybrid option also a possibility for local candidates. Compensation will be based on experience in the $24-$28/hr range. Compensation for full-time work includes 80% healthcare reimbursement, company retirement plan, monthly wellness bonus, and year-end performance bonuses.
