Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting Specialist to handle various accounting tasks within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and efficiently
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare financial reports and analyses as needed
- Assist with audit preparations and provide support during audits
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with QuickBooks preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CPA certification or progress toward certification is a plus
