Seeking a friendly, self-driven veterinary assistant for our busy 3-doctor small animal practice. Job duties include assisting the senior veterinary assistant with restraining patients for procedures like blood draws, nail trims, vaccine administration, and anal gland expressions. Other duties include inserting patient information and charges into their electronic medical charts.
Candidates must be physically able to be on their feet for long periods of time, able to lift and carry up to 50lbs (or more with a team member), and help restrain patients during radiographic procedures. It's also important candidates can emotionally handle assisting with medical emergencies and procedures like euthanasia.
Candidates must also be willing to be part of our team, want to provide a good experience for our patients and our clients, and are generally interested in veterinary medicine.
Hours Available:
M-TH 7:50-6:30 PM
OR
M-W 4PM-8PM
FT employees, 30hrs or more, receive benefits and PTO accrual
Pay rate: $18.00/hr or more depending on previous experience
