Swiss Holiday Lodge is a small, family-owned hotel in Mount Shasta, CA. We're known for providing a warm, welcoming experience and spotless accommodations for travelers from all over. As a lean, hands-on team, every employee plays an important role—and we take pride in doing things well, quickly, and with care.
Housekeeping Duties
Clean guest rooms quickly and thoroughly: make beds, sanitize bathrooms, vacuum, dust, and reset rooms
Wash, dry, and fold hotel linens and towels
Tidy indoor shared areas (lobby, breakfast room) and outdoor walkways or patios
Report any damage, maintenance issues, or missing items
Wrap up breakfast service (clear items, clean surfaces)
Pool and Spa Support
Test and balance water chemicals (training provided)
Uncover/cover pool and hot tub; light cleaning as needed
Occasional Front Desk Support:
Greet and check in/out guests
Answer phones and email inquiries professionally
Manage or update reservations
Provide local recommendations to guests
Requirements
1–2 years minimum professional housekeeping or hotel cleaning experience
Able to work weekends and holidays
Able to lift up to 30 lbs, climb stairs, bend/kneel, and be on your feet for long periods
Basic English reading and communication skills
Quick, efficient, and detail-oriented when cleaning
Reliable transportation—especially during snowy or icy winter months
Willing to pitch in with other tasks as needed
Friendly, responsible, and team-oriented
Schedule:
Shifts typically begin around 8:00 AM. Hours vary based on hotel occupancy (average 20–40 hours/week). We offer flexible scheduling, but weekend and holiday availability is required.
