Tax Accountant needs the Part-time, Year-Round help of an experienced bookkeeper.
Approximately 8 Hours per week, 12 months per year, with added hours in January for 1099 prep.
Work will be performed from your location, using our cloud-based server and shared desktop version of QuickBooks and some work in QB online. This is a 100% remote position.
Must be an EXPERIENCED BOOKKEEPER, having used QUICKBOOKS for at least 5 years, no exceptions.
MUST be able to:
Commit to two regular, recurring weekdays when you will work 4+ hours
Check your email daily, and reply as needed
Download and Enter bank detail, then reconcile
Download and Enter credit card detail, then reconcile
Use Excel with QuickBooks, sending QB reports to spreadsheets, manipulating data for various reasons for multiple clients and for your supervisor
Demonstrate a working knowledge of 1099 preparation, collect W9 detail all year
Be able to create new QB company files and Chart(s) of Accounts
Have a working knowledge of what a Balance Sheet is, what it contains and what it is used for
Keep track of your time in detail in QuickBooks
Have knowledge of what journal entries are used for and know how to create them
Work independently, without direct supervision
Organize and prioritize tasks
Communicate directly, efficiently and with the utmost professionalism
Use proper grammar daily
Follow instructions carefully
Use Zoom
Enter payroll into QB to capture employer vs employee payroll taxes and net/gross wages using reports from ADP, Paychex, Gusto etc
This is a permanent position for a Part-Time EMPLOYEE Bookkeeper; it is not a 1099/Subcontractor position. A full background check will be performed, as this is required for both internal security and Errors & Omissions insurance purposes. You will be provided with all results of background checks. There is a firm retirement plan available after 1 year of service and annual contributions will be made by employer into your own asset plan. This is a permanent position, with room for growth in terms of both time AND pay.
Hourly wage $40
