I have a personal website that is a portfolio of my design work for the past 40 years. It has horizontal scrolling and some typographic animation. I am looking to modify the existing Wordpress site, not completely re-design/re-code it.
Seeking a skilled web developer proficient in WordPress, CSS, and JavaScript for ongoing hourly work. Responsibilities include:
Improving website layout and design for better user experience.
Implementing mobile-friendly optimization and resolving browser compatibility issues.
Adding JavaScript animations and interactive features.
Integrating custom animations, interactive elements, and parallax scrolling.
Customizing themes and plugins to match branding.
Ideal candidate should have design flair, WordPress expertise, and strong CSS/JavaScript skills. Familiarity with balancing aesthetics and functionality is essential. Ongoing collaboration preferred.

Here are just a few of the tasks that are part of this ongoing project. Please feel 100% comfortable with all of them, especially the Javascript type animation.
-All the new work all we do together needs into a new or child theme to keep the original theme intact.
-On each project page in Wordpress, I need the option to have a video as the the "homepage option" as well as photos. The entire site is a series of projects that when added, show on the main home page via the homepage option.
-I currently use Awesome Wordpress Backgrounds for many photos on each page that are parallax. I need to customize this so they set to "Contain" when viewed on mobile, this could be customizing the plugin or creating a new one.
-4-5 styles of type animation that I can customize with my own words, that show up on the home page the above Fuoripista site.
- Each project page to be optimized for Mobile where spacing is more compact and reads better.
-A recommendation for an image optimizer that will make each image faster on loading without losing clarity (I upload very large images when designing)
-I would prefer someone I can work with on an ongoing basis, as I am developing new ideas for the site all the time.
-The very large type on each page needs to have the ability to change type styles from one serif font to another serif font. That large serif font must show also on mobile.
-A "scroll to top" arrow that can float on each long page. Some pages are very long.
-I would like to play with the background changing color every time a new project comes into view as well.
