Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Operations Manager with experience in distribution management. This company operates a fleet of 22 vehicles including bobtails and transports, operating out of two warehouses in the San Francisco Bay area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personnel management, would be hands-on and mechanically inclined, logistics, and supply chain administration overseeing a warehouse, office building and bulk storage facility.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage a lubricants and fuel distribution facility which includes a packaging operation
Ensure compliance with industry safety and environmental regulations
Collaborate with team members to identify and implement operational improvements
Coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
Evaluate and select vendors for our core operations
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including drivers suppliers, and regulatory agencies
Prepare operational reports for upper management
Experience:
Experience in operations, fleet management, logistics, and building maintenance
Strong understanding of safety and environmental regulations
Excellent leadership, organizational skills, and time management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
