We are a rapidly growing and nimble company working in the construction industry looking to expand our team. We rent and distribute portable restrooms, sinks and fencing in the greater Bay Area. Our key customers are recognized industry leaders.

Western Site Services LLC (a highly respected, service-oriented, family-operated, and women- owned

portable sanitation and rental company serving the Bay Area since 2015) is offering an excellent

employment opportunity for a Level 2 Mechanic with 3+ years of gas and diesel automotive experience

and who is also a proficient fabricator/welder. If you are a team player who can accomplish delegated

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Mechanic 2 with expertise in fabrication and welding to join

our team. This role involves performing routine automotive maintenance on gas and diesel engines,

advanced mechanical repairs, and troubleshooting of all company machinery and equipment, as well as

fabricating and welding parts for repair and the creation of assets related to the portable toilets (e.g.

trailers, hanger toilets, etc.). The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in mechanical

systems, welding techniques, and fabrication processes, with the ability to work independently and lead

troubleshooting efforts for complex mechanical issues.

Job Description:

 Advanced Maintenance & Repair:

o Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on complex machinery and

mechanical systems.

o Plan and execute preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure

equipment reliability.

o Replace and repair mechanical components, motors, pumps, conveyors, and other critical

machinery.

o Ensure equipment is running efficiently and identify areas for improvement or upgrade.

 Fabrication & Welding:

o Use advanced welding and fabrication techniques to design, modify, and repair parts and

structures for machinery and equipment.

o Cut, weld, and assemble metal components.

o Fabricate custom metal parts, assemblies, and tools to meet specific operational needs.

o Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to create high-quality

fabrications.

 Safety & Compliance:

o Adhere to all safety standards and regulations while working with mechanical systems,

welding equipment, and in high-risk environments.

o Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents and ensure safety

protocols are followed.

 Documentation & Reporting:

o Maintain detailed and accurate records of all maintenance activities, fabrications, and

repairs.

o Communicate progress, concerns, and recommendations for equipment improvement to

supervisors and other team members.

 Collaboration & Problem-Solving:

o Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure smooth operations of all

equipment.

o Assist in the identification of root causes for mechanical failures and implement long-

term solutions.

o Work with other departments to meet production deadlines and improve workflow

efficiency.

Job Requirements:

 3+ years of experience as a mechanic, welder, or fabricator in an industrial setting.

 Proficiency in welding techniques (MIG) and metal fabrication.

 Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.

 Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

 Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

 Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in mechanical and welding work.

 Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding environments.

 Forklift or crane operation certification.

Physical Requirements:

 Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs).

 Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for long periods.

 Work in a variety of conditions, including outdoor or noisy environments.

Full Time Employment:

 Work hours - 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday – Friday

 Compensation is based on experience. Benefits: After 90 Day Probationary Period: Full Time

employees receive health insurance as well as provided paid time off and holiday pay. After a

year of employment, we provide a 401K option.
