Baker's Transit is currently hiring drivers for wheelchair and gurney transport for older adults. We provide a one-on-one personalized service and often have repeat customers.
Responsibilities:
- The driver is responsible for the safe transportation of older adults to and from appointments, outings, and medical facility discharges. This includes door to door assistance which may require use of wheelchair or gurneys.
Qualifications:
- At least two years of professional driving and customer service experience preferred.
- A valid driving license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language.
- Ability to push or pull up to 300lbs in a wheelchair
- Drug test and background check required.
All staff members must provide acceptable evidence of vaccination, become vaccinated for COVID-19 immediately upon hire as a condition of employment, or agree to weekly COVID-19 testing.
