HDM Onsite Coordinator:
Tuesday-Friday (9AM-5PM) and Saturday (6AM-2PM)
Hourly Rate: $25 (non-exempt)
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
At least 3 years prior experience dispatching delivery drivers, strongly preferred
Experience with databases, Salesforce a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Excel proficiency
Valid California Driver License
Good driving record must be maintained during employment
Must demonstrate an ability to work with a diverse client population including low income, disabled and mentally ill clients. .
Must demonstrate an ability to successfully work with a culturally diverse workforce
Must be able to lift to 50lbs unassisted and be able navigate as many as 80 flights of stairs.
Should be able to pass background check, successfully complete a pre-employment physical, provide employment documentation and provide us with a Covid-19 passport or be in the process of being vaccinated against Covid-19 within the first 30 days of employment
Bilingual Spanish or Cantonese preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of Home Delivered Meals Director or designee HDM Manager or Supervisor, the HDM Onsite Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the smooth execution of home delivered meals with assigned drivers. Manage and Support delivery to Navigation Centers and Shelters. Assist with training drivers and working closely with the management team to ensure excellent customer service. In accordance with the provisions of MOWSF’s Employee Handbook, the position is responsible for:
Coordinate HDM Drivers as assigned (between 5-10 employees)
Support assigned employees; serve as first point of contact
Assist in onboarding of assigned employees; provide training of standard operating procedures
Responsible for approving timesheets and time-off requests of assigned employees
Provide corrective coaching and enforce progressive discipline as needed
Ensure safety protocols and best practices are followed. Confirm the correct number of meals are loaded by drivers. Ensure that the load out area is clean and organized
Review driver route sheets, ensuring proper completion. Secure client contributions. Make sure company vehicles are parked in assigned locations. Ensure equipment is returned daily. Confirm leftover meals are stored in the designated location in the kitchen. Work with the Fleet Operations Coordinator to inspect vehicles daily to ensure optimal operating standards and cleanliness as well documenting any damages and issues on a timely basis
Manages inventory and facilitate daily order lists for seamless production.
Works closely and collaboratively with the teams to increase operating efficiency through maximizing productivity of staff, developing new procedures or streamlining processes encompassing all areas including food safety, food presentation, prep and cooking procedures.
Promptly address and report any violation of polices and best practices
Backup Safety Board and main line as needed
Monitor Samsara to ensure drivers are observing all traffic laws
Conducts food safety observations of key associates performing food safety activities.
