Solar Project Foreman

Duties/Responsibilities
● Lead and supervise a team of installers to ensure the successful completion of solar
installations.
● Serve as the primary technical expert on-site, troubleshooting and resolving any issues that
arise.
● Communicate professionally and effectively with customers, providing clear explanations of
the installation process, addressing concerns, and ensuring complete satisfaction.
● Install and maintain electrical equipment, including inverters, solar panels, and batteries,
according to codes and standards.
● Expertly use the National Electrical Code (NEC) to ensure compliance.
● Review bills of materials, pull inventory, and ensure all materials are available to complete
the job.
● Efficiently manage time and tasks with a strong sense of urgency to meet project deadlines
while maintaining exceptional customer service.
● Maintain detailed records of job status, progress, and completion, providing regular updates
to management and customers.
● Maintain a clean and organized job site.
● Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance is required.
Required Skills/Abilities
● Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
● Ability to safely handle power tools, hand tools, ladders, roofing materials along with
inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries and other similar electrical equipment.
● Excellent problem-solving skills.
● Excellent communication skills, written and in person
● Reliable and punctual attendance is crucial for team success.
● Experience in various roofing types (metal, tile, shingle, etc.) is a plus.
● Bilingual- English/ Spanish helpful but not required
● CA driver’s license and clean driving record
Education and Experience
● Minimum of 3 years of experience in solar and electrical installation, with a strong
understanding of AC and DC systems.
● Proficiency in working with a variety of solar system equipment, including string and
microinverters, mounting systems, and battery storage.
● High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
● Vocational or technical school training preferred.
Physical Requirements
● Must be at least 18 years of age
● Must be able to work at great heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders, and stairs
● Must be able to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, crawl spaces, attic
etc.)
● Prolonged periods of repetitious duties including lifting, bending, and standing for long
periods
● Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds frequently
● Must meet all OSHA standards for working at heights including:
○ Ability to climb and utilize equipment on site including various ladders rated for
325lbs.
○ Must meet OSHA fall protection standards for at-height work limited at 310lbs.
