This role requires strong knowledge and experience of all aspects of the PV solar installation process.Key Responsibilities:As Foreman, you will be responsible for the solar installation from beginning to end - supervising crews, coordinating installation times, managing the roof installation, and handling the AC and DC electrical aspects of the project.Read permit-ready plan sets and analyze and provide appropriate solutions should issues ariseLead, train, and supervise the roof crew to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and up to Simply Solar standardsResponsible for electrical tie-in and assisting with roof constructionLayout and mount hardware on multiple roof typesInstall AC and DC disconnectsRead and analyze permit-ready plan sets, providing appropriate solutions when issues ariseDocument the installation process, communicating effectively with our operations divisionInstall and troubleshoot PV system monitoringProficient in duties required for subordinate rolesQualifications:Previous experience in PV Solar installation required (3+ years)Knowledge of and experience with electrical wiring/AC and DC systems requiredSolar electrician experience preferredExperience leading and training a crew preferredExperience with ground mounts or batteries preferredExcellent communication skills and strong attention to detailValid CA Driver's license and clean driving recordAbility to pass pre-employment background checkAbility to work safely and confidently on roofs with ladder access (no fear of heights, healthy respect for safety concerns, and proper use of safety equipment is required).Must be able to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks: up to 50 pounds individually, and up to 100 pounds with assistanceProlonged periods of repetitive duties including lifting, bending, and standingWork is performed outdoors, frequently in harsh conditions (inclement weather, extreme hot and cold temperatures, roofs, crawl spaces, extreme heights)At Simply Solar, we are passionate about driving California communities toward clean energy and a brighter future.
