Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Seamstress to join our team. As a Seamstress, you will be responsible for performing alterations and repairs on garments, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for sewing and garment construction to showcase their skills in a fast-paced fashion retail environment. The ideal candidate has 5 to 10 years in the industry altering Wedding Dresses.
Responsibilities:
- Perform alterations and repairs on Wedding Dresses from Start to Finish.
- Must know how to Baby Hem, French seams, Etc.
- Iron garments
- Work with fine fabrics, laces, beading, etc.
- Impeccable hand sewing skills
- Use sewing machines, sergers, and other tools to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
- Take accurate measurements and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper fit
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with the team to meet production goals and deadlines
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Seamstress/Tailor or similar role
- Proficiency in using sewing machines and other sewing tools
- Strong knowledge of garment construction techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform precise alterations
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Note: This is a paid position.
Hours: This is a part time position. 16 - 32 hours per week.
