We are a small landscape construction firm located in Hercules. We are passionate about bringing life to our clients’ outdoor living spaces with high-quality construction projects and an excellent customer experience. We are hiring multiple skilled construction laborers at this time, as we are hoping to grow the company to take on more major city and government contracts in the near future.
This candidate must perform with a high level of independence, knowledge, planning ability, execution ability, and with great communication skills.
The right candidate will:
- Build gardens, flower beds, and other landscape features
- Plant trees, shrubs, and flowers
- Install and repair irrigation systems
- Read specs. for small structures for outdoor living spaces - Work with plumbing and electrical systems for installation of equipment and design features - Maintain and operate large trucks and trailers
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment and tools
- Ensure that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Provide leadership and guidance to other team members
- Collaborate with the owner, construction foreman and client to formulate plans
- Know concrete, welding, construction, design, and other major project skills needed for construction of outdoor living spaces
- Represent the company with honor and integrity at all times
Critical Experience:
- Previous experience in landscaping or construction preferred
- Knowledge of plant care, including watering, pruning, and fertilizing
- Familiarity with irrigation systems and their maintenance
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment small and large including backhoes and drilling equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
Required Skills:
-Speak and understand English proficiently, Spanish bilingual is helpful.
-Problem-solving skills and initiative
-Prove you can work in the U.S. legally
-Have current driver’s license, car insurance and clean driving record
-Able to show up for work on time consistently at 8:00 AM Monday through Friday. Company is based in Hercules/Rodeo, but job sites will be located throughout the Easy and North Bay.
