Stingray Builders is a small San Francisco general contractor focused on high end residential projects, some design build, others designed by architects, all with exceptional attention to detail. All of our projects are in the city of San Francisco. We currently have open positions for both an experienced carpenter and an apprentice. We are looking for candidates who have a passion for craftsmanship and a keen eye for detail.
As a carpenter with our company, you will be involved in all phases of construction including site preparation, concrete, rough framing, waterproofing, interior and exterior finish carpentry, installation of cabinetry, and final punchlist activities.
Journeyman Applicants
should be proficient in forming, framing and finish carpentry. We will expect you to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision. We will look to you to provide support to apprentice carpenters. You should be proficient at reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project specifications
Apprentice applicants
should be competent, and motivated. Some previous construction experience would be helpful but is not required. We DO NOT have a formal apprentice training program, but you will be working alongside experienced journeymen carpenters. Your duties will include some general labor, demo, basic carpentry, and other miscellaneous tasks.
All Applicants will work alongside a full-time foreman & project manager. You should be capable of working independently and as well as a part of the team.

Requirements:
Good English skills (both spoken & written), bilingual a plus
Valid CA drivers license and clean DMV record, vehicle not required but a plus
Legal employment status
Physical ability to bend, stoop, and lift 100lbs
Your own hand/power tools (exact expectations vary depending on experience level)
Be sober, substance abuse & drama free
