Coast Construction Company is looking for a senior-level RME B-Licensed Superintendent to oversee our field operations staff. Manage multiple field crews - MUST HAVE FIELD MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE.
We rebuild fire-damaged buildings using insurance policy proceeds.
95% of our work coming from residential.5% commercial (apartment, retail, etc.).
75% of our work is in Alameda County, and 25% is in Contra Costa County - residence in Alameda County highly preferred for commuting life/work balance reasons.
Company was founded in 1984 with ownership change in 2021 to a senior employee.
We produce about 50 projects per year and enjoy a stable position in our market. - Insurance work is recession-proof!

Primary job functions:
a. Plan, monitor, and analyze key field metrics to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks & Projects.
b. Manpower assignment – weekly – Oversight by GM
c. Visit & Oversee Jobsites in person biweekly for Quality Control
d. Drive greater profit & operational efficiency in field work
e. Seek shorter project production times via process improvement
f. Define and implement Field SOP procedures
g. Field Employee bi-annual Reviews & Discipline
2. Staff Morale/Culture
a. Resolve field staff disputes, obstacles
b. Implement teaching opportunities, team engagement
c. Manage to build an environment of collective responsibility and accountability
3. Risk Management
a. Review prospective projects for constructability
b. Liaison with management to facilitate closure when customer disputes arise
c Resolve disputes with vendors & subs
d. Ensure that laws and regulations are being followed.
