We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pest Control Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing pest control services for residential and commercial properties. You will utilize your skills in pest management, customer service, and equipment operation to ensure effective pest control solutions while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.
The Pest Control / Spray Technician is responsible for identifying, diagnosing, and treating weeds, fungus, insects, and pests in specified areas and potential pest-prone areas.
This role will report to the Community Tree Service Supervisor. The Pest Control / Spray Technician will need some physical strength and must be able to work in tough weather conditions. They are required to be able to complete any verbal and written training required by Community Tree Service or its customers. They are expected to carry out instructions efficiently/safely and complete all maintenance tasks to the highest standard.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest issues and determine appropriate treatment plans.
Apply pesticides and other pest control products in accordance with safety regulations and company policies.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to perform pest control tasks, including trapping and exclusion methods.
Maintain accurate records of services performed, including pest sightings, treatments applied, and follow-up recommendations.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about pest issues and treatment options.
Drive to various job sites using company vehicles while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service delivery.
Adhering to company and environmental regulations at all times
Skills
Hold an active QAL license in California
Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to pest control tasks.
Experience or knowledge in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or farm machinery is a plus.
Strong understanding of pest control methods and products, including safety protocols for application.
Excellent communication skills for effective customer interactions and sales opportunities.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving company vehicles to job sites.
