We are looking for a skilled Paint Prepper to join our dynamic automotive body shop team. As a Paint Prepper, you will play a pivotal role in preparing vehicles for the painting process, ensuring flawless finishes and customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include expertly sanding, feather priming, blocking, and meticulously matching colors to achieve seamless results. Attention to detail, proficiency with hand and power tools, and adherence to safety protocols are crucial for success in this role. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in automotive painting preparation and possess a keen eye for color matching. Key Responsibilities:

- We require experience with denib & polish and color sand & polish.

- Perform thorough vehicle preparation for painting, including sanding, masking, and cleaning surfaces.

- Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, feather priming, and blocking surfaces to ensure smoothness and adhesion.

- Inspect vehicles for imperfections and ensure all surfaces are smooth and ready for priming and painting.

- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

- Assist painters with mixing and preparing paint materials as needed.

- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any maintenance needs promptly.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Paint Prepper or similar role in an automotive body shop.

- Knowledge of automotive painting techniques and materials.

- Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely.

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

- Outstanding communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training is a plus.

- Certification in automotive painting or related fields is advantageous.
