Toby's Trucking is a family owned and operated company located in Petaluma California. Currently, we are looking for a head mechanic fulltime, five days per week, at our truck yard located in Petaluma, CA. This individual will perform maintenance/repair tasks on various trucks.
Key responsibilities of the position include:
Safely performing assigned tasks in compliance with company policies and procedures
Accurately completing repair orders and keeping reports on repair orders to document repairs
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Typical work involves maintenance & amp; repairs on:
light mechanical
electrical/lighting
chassis/suspension
brakes
Computer diagnostics
Working with after-treatment systems
Job Qualifications:
3+ years of related experience
Computer literacy
Effective oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to read technical manuals.
Must be able to meet physical requirements of the position (lifting up to 75+ lbs., bending, climbing, standing for duration of shift, etc.)
