POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for operating and maintaining various tools, load and unload frequently heavy materials, and follow directions from supervisors and other skilled tradesmen. Experience is not essential, but you need to be physically fit, lift and carry objects over 50+ pounds, reliable, a team player, able to work outdoors, and a fast learner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate and care for construction equipment and machines.
Help carpenters, and other skilled labor when necessary.
Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.
May include demolition as directed by supervisor.
Load or unload construction materials.
Remove, fill, or compact earth.
Follow instructions from supervisors.
Assist craft workers.
Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary.
Perform site clean-up.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Employee required to remain on his or her feet in an upright position for continuous periods of time.
Employee required to remain sitting in an upright position for continuous periods of time.
Employee required to walk considerable amounts of time on job site.
Employee required to raise or lower objects from one level to another regularly during the shift up to 50 pounds.
Employee required, on a regular basis, to carry objects over up to 50 pounds.
Employee required, on a regular basis, to push and pull 50 pounds.
Employee regularly picks up objects with fingers.
Employee regularly holding concrete pound pump hose for continuous periods of time.
Employee regularly required use of hands and arms to reach for objects.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Typical assignments frequently require that work be completed outdoors in a variety of miserable weather conditions, including fire/smoke/water damaged property.
Exposure to dirt, dust, and mold is routine and may require the use of protective clothing and respirators.
Some jobs require an employee to work in an environment that involves exposure to unpleasant and noxious fumes and odors.
Employees are required to bend and reach for considerable periods and/or in confined spaces.
The job duties require an employee to work under stressful conditions
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have own truck.
Must be able to work in Sonoma, Napa and Marin counties.
Punctual and Reliable
Ability to communicate well with others (as needed). Bilingual a plus.
Drinking and recreational drugs will not be tolerated on job site.
Must be able to legally work in the US and provide proof.
Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks.
COMPENSATION:
Competitive compensation determined by experience.
