We’re looking for a resident manager. If you are good with people, presentable, able (and willing) to do cleaning and minor repairs, we are looking for you. We'll give you the apartment ($2,350 value) at a discounted rent of $500 in exchange for managing. The unit is a one bedroom, one bath. In addition, you get free parking and plenty of storage. There is no salary included, and this is a Part Time position (13 hours per week., usually much less) You'll need to have another source of income.
We’re looking for someone who will:
1. Keep the grounds clean
2. Show units and take applications
3. Collect rents
4. Perform minor repairs such as changing disposals, unclogging leaks, and fixing leaky toilets, etc.
5. Touch-up Paint & cleaning of vacant units.
6. Be the contact person for tenants to resolve tenant issues at the complex
7. Coordinate access for vendors: ie appliance deliveries etc.
Flexibility in hours is a major plus.
This is NOT a job for people who cannot fix things. You are the first person the tenants will call when they have problems and I'm looking for someone who is handy and can do repairs (change washers, garbage disposals, etc.) not just call the owner and report that there is a problem. If you just call me about the problem, then I don’t need you as the tenant can call me directly. You must have a cell phone and use email.
The building is 20+ units in Rockridge (terrific Oakland location.) Close to shopping, restaurants, and BART. We have great tenants and a great building. So, if you are “handy” and willing to be the “mother hen” of some good tenants, then please send me your resume by email.
