We are seeking a skilled and experienced Livestock Manager to oversee cattle and small livestock operations, ensuring the highest standards of animal health, pasture management, and regenerative ranching practices. This role involves leading ranch hands, managing daily livestock care, and actively participating in hands-on ranch work. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in holistic livestock management, and the ability to work directly with cattle, sheep, goats, and swine while maintaining the health and sustainability of our pastures.

Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
Oversee daily livestock care for all ranch animals, including feeding, watering, pasture movement, and lowstress handling.
Lead and manage ranch hands, delegating tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring efficient workflow.
Monitor livestock health, administering medications, vaccinations, and treatments as needed (IM, SubQ, IV).
Assist with breeding and reproduction management, including lambing, kidding, and calving.
Manage holistic pasture and grazing rotations, ensuring optimal land use and sustainability.
Maintain and repair infrastructure, including ranch fencing (electric, barbed wire, and portable systems), roads, irrigation, and livestock shelters.
Operate ranch equipment, including ATVs, trucks, dump trucks, tractors, water trucks, and backhoes.
Oversee irrigation and water systems, ensuring proper pasture hydration with wheelline and handset irrigation.
Sort, haul, and handle livestock for tagging, castration, vaccinations, and finishing programs.
Apply herbicide as needed using tractors and ATVs to manage pasture health and invasive species.
Implement and uphold safety protocols, ensuring compliance with ranch policies and holistic management principles.
Collaborate with the Ranch Director to develop and execute livestock strategies, infrastructure improvements, and sustainable practices.
Qualifications & Requirements:
5+ years of experience in livestock management, with expertise in cattle operations and familiarity with sheep, goats, and pigs.
Proficiency in fencing installation and maintenance, pasture management, and livestock infrastructure upkeep.
Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive) for record-keeping and reporting.
Knowledge of holistic and regenerative ranching practices (or willingness to learn and implement).
Experience in lowstress livestock handling, rotational grazing, and herd management.
Ability to apply herbicides safely and effectively using tractors and ATVs.
Strong mechanical skills to operate and maintain ranch machinery and irrigation systems.
Ability to work independently while leading a team, ensuring a wellmanaged and efficient ranch operation.
Physical capability to lift 100 lbs., work in varying weather conditions, and handle livestock safely.
Must be 18+, authorized to work in the U.S., and pass a background check.
Bilingual in Spanish & English preferred.
