We are an established residential design and build company located in the Napa Valley. Our work focuses on high-end remodels, additions and ADUs. We work in Napa and Sonoma counties as well as Green Valley. We sub-out all subcontractors but carpentry. Job Description:

You are a highly skilled carpenter with additional leadership and project management responsibilities. You have a high level of knowledge about construction and are able to oversee all on-site aspects of our remodeling and addition projects from start to finish. You manage and motivate a work crew of 1-4 people and maintain quality and safety on the job site. Reading and producing architectural and structural drawings are second nature to you. You coordinate with subcontractors and clients, and ensure the project stays on time and within budget. Using BuilderTrend, our project management software, you manage and track the job schedule, coordinate construction materials and communicate with the client and team.

Responsibilities:

- Able to maintain communications, scheduling and daily logs via our web-based project management program.

- Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings and paperwork, including the details and specifications.

- Bring questions, discrepancies, and unusual conditions to the attention of the Project Supervisor.

- Understand the scope of the work and discuss any additional work with the Project Supervisor.

- Plans, coordinates and participates in the execution and completion of daily tasks based on the project’s scope of work and schedule.

- Ensures work performed is in conformance with drawings and specifications.

- Able to complete the job by the stated schedule.

- Participate in jobsite inspections.

- Receive and inspect immediately all construction materials received on site for the project.

- Responsible for assembling comprehensive materials list required for the progression of the project and either picking up or coordinating the deliveries of construction materials. Employee must plan ahead for timely material delivery.

- Responsible for end-of-day procedures, such as clean-up, weather protection and security. Must notify clients in advance of utility service interruption.

- Provide for job safety for both the clients, subcontractors, and our employees. Inspect all tools and equipment for proper safety features and correct any unsafe conditions. Run regular safety meetings.

Qualifications:

- A minimum of 5 years experience as a lead carpenter

- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic that strives for efficiency and productivity without sacrificing quality.

- Excellent leadership and communication skills

- Experience in managing subcontractors and coordinating their work.

- Strong understanding of construction (civil, architectural, and structural plans) plans, processes, materials, and techniques.

- Extensive knowledge of ground up construction (Foundations and framing)

- Upbeat positive attitude

- Interprets and enforces safety regulations

- Current California driver’s license

- Must be able to drive to job sites, office and to obtain job site materials.

- Job requires the ability to perform tasks in all areas and aspects of construction projects. Specifically, the ability to work with tools, lumber and materials. Ability to lift and manipulate objects of up to 75 lbs, and to bend, climb, and crawl.

- Have your own reliable truck for transportation and tools needed to produce the projects.

- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
