Job Summary

The Field Supervisor directly oversees the crew leaders and his/her team. Ensuring that the scheduled work is completed in a timely manner. Keeps the production manager apprised on all crews, work and sites that are under his/her control.

The field supervisor is also responsible for the training of the crew leaders and his/her crew members in the proper and safe use of equipment, materials and any other items that are necessary for the completion of the task at hand.

Essential Job Functions

Ensures that the time entry of crews is done through the Aspire mobile app.

Assess each site conditions to be able to assign task to crew leaders.

Works with Production manager on new job startups, turnovers, to ensures that jobs are kept on schedule.

Provides leadership and fosters increased efficiencies, productivity, teamwork, and a healthy work environment

Continually informs and update the Production manage as to job progress (or lack thereof).

Continually coordinates with company Crew leaders as to job progress (or lack thereof).

Reviews all crew leaders job daily field reports for accuracy and thoroughness.

Ensures that all safety procedures are followed and reports any unsafe conditions to supervisors.

Ensures that all accidents are reported immediately.

Ensures all workers' compensation related accidents are reported to the Production manager.

Looks for add on sales and report them to the Production manager.

Receives issues from the production manager and assigns to a crew leader.

See’s that all issues are completed correctly.

Ensures that company production standards are met.

Ensures that all equipment is operated safely and properly.

Ensures that all equipment is maintained properly and preventatively maintained daily.

Evaluates equipment utilization and make recommendation to the Production Manager.

Ensures that vendor delivery tickets and all paperwork turned in daily to the Production manager.

Thoroughly understands and complies with company policies, procedures.

In collaboration with the Production manager trains his/her crew leaders and crew members.

In collaboration with the Production Manager evaluates the performance of crew members.

In collaboration Production manager engages in conflict resolution with crew members.

Chemical reports.

Plant ID

Advance Irrigation controller programing

Equipment knowledge, repair, and maintenance

Spraying of the different chemicals

Able to tow an equipment trailer

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum of three years of experience in landscape maintenance.

Able to effectively train field crew members.

Horticultural pruning.

Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

How to use safely and efficiently 21",36", 48" walk behind, stand on or riding mowers.

How to use Hedgers, Edger, Chainsaws, Blowers and other common landscape maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.

Possess a valid driver's license and must be insurable on the company's insurance policy.

Have a clean criminal record.

Possesses good organizational skills.

Possesses, proficiency in Aspire mobile app.

Proficient in both oral and written communications.

Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Able to represent the company courteously and professionally.

Work Environment

This job operates 90% of the time in a field environment. This role routinely uses landscape specific equipment such as company vehicles, hand tools, construction equipment, chemicals and phones.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands or finger to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
