We are looking for an experienced home remodeler with management and actual hands on remodeling experience. An ideal candidate would be someone who has run their own contracting company but is sick and tired of doing sales, estimates, invoicing, customer service, collections, design, bookkeeping, taxes, permits, etc and instead, just wants to do the hands on work and lead a crew.
The position will be managing a crew of 4 in house employees and multiple projects at a tactical level, that range in duration from small 1 day jobs to 9 month long new construction homes. The number of crew members is planned to increase in the future so the candidate must be able to adapt to increasing loads. The position will also be interacting with sub contractors and building inspectors.
Hands on plumbing experience is required as well as experience in finish carpentry, drywall finish, general "handyman" things, and other finishing trades. Knowledge of building plans is desirable.
Applicant must have their own tools, reliable truck, cell phone with internet. Also must have good communication skills, diligent in documenting the progress of projects, planning and scheduling projects, and be able to train others.
Our projects are mostly in the south bay but also in the peninsula up to San Mateo and east bay around up to Union City.
