WHAT IS THE JOB?
The Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the boatyard facility is well kept, clean and maintained in safe and in optimal operating condition. This role involves a variety of tasks ranging from routine cleaning and inspections to minor repairs and upkeep of facilities. You will work closely with the Project Managers, Office Team and Marine Repair Technicians.
WHO ARE YOU?
This is a very physical and active position. The ideal candidate will have a strong practical aptitude with tools, light machinery and carpentry. The candidate should be comfortable working outdoors, working around boats and water, in varying weather conditions. This candidate needs to demonstrate a commitment to safety, the environment and quality workmanship. Candidates should have experience in being responsible for facility's maintenance and upkeep. Candidate should also have a good driving record as well as verbal and written communication skills.
