Canepa is seeking a highly skilled Tire Technician at the Journeyman or Master level, with extensive experience in tire, wheel, and alignment services, and a solid background in general automotive repair. This position requires proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex tire-related issues and other essential vehicle components. The ideal candidate must be quality-minded, hardworking, and dedicated to providing the highest level of workmanship in the industry. We are seeking a person who is highly professional, who can work individually, as well as part of a multifunctional team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Mounting and dismounting automotive tires
Balancing and force matching wheel and tire assemblies
Removing and installing wheels on vehicles
Repairing, rotating, and inflating tires
Diagnose and repair tire vibration issues and wheel imbalances
Calibrating TPMS
Diagnose and correct chassis pull and steering wheel alignment issues
Perform chassis corner weight balance
Remove and replace shock absorber and anti-sway bar assemblies
Replace brake pads, rotors, and bleed brakes
Participate in training and follow safety procedures
Diagnose and repair common mechanical issues (engine, transmission, and electrical components)
Perform regular maintenance services such as oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations
Qualifications:
Journeyman/Master-level experience in tire and wheel systems, chassis suspension and alignment
3+ years in tire service, chassis alignment and shock/brake systems
5+ years as an Automotive Technician
Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials
Capability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles
Experience working with performance vehicles and advanced automotive systems
Strong diagnostic skills and ability to resolve complex automotive issues
Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after regular business hours as needed
Ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or driving) for up to nine hours per shift
Ability to move and lift up to 75 pounds
