Engineering & Concrete Construction Contractor seeks EXPERIENCED DRIVER / MATERIAL HANDLER to join the team at growing our company. We are looking for candidates who are organized, detail-oriented, dependable, self-starters with a good positive attitude and desire to work. We have been in business over 30 years and we work year- round. We have projects throughout the greater SF Bay area. We do residential, commercial & public works projects.
JOB SUMMARY
Driver's primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Delivering equipment and construction materials to multiple locations in one day.
Loading and unloading equipment and construction materials safely.
Maintaining all paperwork accurately
Communicate directly with dispatch team.
Maintaining facility cleanliness and organization (including yard, trucks & equipment)
Perform daily vehicle safety checklist.
Maintaining all assigned vehicles and equipment. Reporting problems to your supervisor.
Abiding by all company policies, & traffic laws.
Construction work as part of the crew when there are no driving duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
Delivery driving/material handling or similar experience is a preferred
Minimum two years of delivery driving/material handling experience
Clean DMV driving record and drug test, Class A license a MUST.
Basic construction knowledge
Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
Able to use GPS directional tools
Can work independently or as part of a small team
Ability to work long hours Monday Saturday (flexible schedule is required)
Must have reliable transportation to get to work when delivery work is not needed
High school diploma
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
Frequent sitting, lifting, walking, bending
Ability to work in all types of Bay Area weather
Experience operating equipment (forklift, bobcat loader, backhoe, mini excavator)
Maintain a neat appearance, including clean clothing, shaven, neatly trimmed hair & beard.
