Location: Contra Costa County Public Works Department (CCCPWD)
About the Role:
We are hiring four (4) Vegetation Management Technicians to manage vegetation and control noxious weeds across various environments. This role involves using chemical treatments, maintaining equipment, and adhering to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
-Inspect and manage noxious weeds
-Use pest control and vegetation management techniques
-Operate and maintain landscaping equipment
-Apply chemicals safely in compliance with regulations
-Keep detailed work records
-Work outdoors in all weather conditions

Minimum Qualifications:
- License: Valid California Motor Vehicle Operator’s License
- Certificate: Obtain a Qualified Applicator Certificate (within 9 months of hire)
- Experience: Two (2) years of full-time experience in weed eradication and vegetation management
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with landscaping tools (mowers, trimmers, etc.)
- Background in landscape maintenance or related fields
